These Are The Only 8 Boy Groups To Chart On The “Billboard 200” So Far

Some of these groups even reached the top 5!

While reaching the Korean charts is an achievement in itself, making it onto the Billboard 200 is a whole new level. Published by the world-famous Billboard, the Billboard 200 charts the most popular albums in the United States every week—and these eight K-Pop boy groups are the only ones to ever make the ranking.

1. BTS

When it comes to Billboard 200 hits, BTS leads the way with a staggering 13 albums on the chart so far. Their first entry came in 2015 when The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt.2 peaked at no.171 on the chart, and they’ve been climbing ever since.

What’s even more impressive is how many BTS albums have gone to no.1 on the Billboard 200. As of December 2020, they have five top spot entries: Love Yourself: Tear, Love Yourself: Answer, Map of the Soul: Persona, Map of the Soul: 7, and BE.

2. EXO

EXO’s first Billboard 200 hit came in 2014 when EXO-K’s Overdose mini-album went to no.129. Since then, a total of five EXO albums have charted on the Billboard 200, including The War, EXOdus, and Obsession. The group’s highest peak on the chart so far was with Don’t Mess Up My Tempo, which reached no.23.

NCT 127’s We Are Superhuman reached no.11 in 2019, then the group broke the top five with Neo Zone ranking no.5 in early 2020.

Their most recent addition to the Billboard 200 is full group album NCT 2020 Resonance Pt. 1, which peaked at no.6 and stayed on the chart for nine weeks.

4. TXT

TXT was the first group to chart a debut release on the Billboard 200 back in March 2019 with The Dream Chapter: Star, which peaked at no.140. Next, Minisode 1: Blue Hour reached no.25 on the chart in 2020. The group’s first Japanese studio album, Still Dreaming, also made it onto the Billboard 200 this year, giving them three entries in total.
