BTS Jimin’s Tattoos And The Meanings Behind Them

Here are the tattoos fans have spotted so far, and their possible meanings.

Jimin is one of two BTS members who is known to have tattoos. The other member is Jungkook, who went from having no tattoos to 10+ in one summer. At first, fans weren’t sure if Jimin’s tattoos were real or not, but since he has had his oldest known tattoo is now 2+ years old, the likelihood of it being henna is low. Here are all of Jimin’s tattoos so far, and the possible meanings behind them.

1. NEVERMIND

When fans first spotted “NEVERMIND”, many thought it was a temporary tattoo referencing Jimin’s legendary, tattooed performance at 2014 MAMA.

Jimin’s 2014 “NEVERMIND” henna tattoo hinted at BTS’s “Intro: Nevermind”, which was released on November 17, 2015. This song is the intro for BTS’s The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.2 album.

The placement of Jimin’s “NEVERMIND” tattoos is believed to be inspired by these lyrics, “Never mind / It’s not easy but engrave it onto your chest”.

2. 13

Jimin’s “13” wrist tattoo was most recently spotted in Jimin’s March 2020 live stream. The number has two very probable meanings. It could be referring to BTS’s debut date (June 13, 2013) and Jimin’s birthday (October 13, 1995).

3. Mystery tattoos?

Earlier this year, eagle-eyed fans spotted two bandages on the back of Jimin’s arms. Since Jungkook previously used skin-toned bandages to cover his tattoos on stage, some ARMYs speculate that Jimin could also have two tiny new tattoos on the back of his arms.
