If you thought the K-Pop girl groups with the longest hiatuses have left fans waiting for ages, some boy groups haven’t had a comeback or officially disbanded for much longer. Some of the following artists have been gone for a long enough period that it’s basically guaranteed that they won’t be releasing music as a group again, but without that official notice of a disbandment, they’re still considered non-disbanded groups! Here are the 10 K-Pop boy groups with the longest hiatuses.
ROMEO is a seven member boy group that debuted on May 7, 2015 with the song “Lovesick” under Pony Canyon and CT Entertainment. Their last comeback was on March 8, 2017 with the song “Without U”, 1,721 days ago.
BEATWIN currently consists of two members, though they debuted on January 6, 2014 under Elen Entertainment with the song “She’s My Girl” with six members. They’re presumed to have quietly disbanded in 2017 or 2018, but no official announcement has been made. Their last comeback was 1,747 days ago on February 10, 2017 with “Don’t Leave”
BIGBANG debuted under YG Entertainment on August 19, 2006 with the song “We Belong Together”. Currently consisting of four members — G-Dragon, T.O.P, Daesung, and Taeyang — the group hasn’t had a comeback since their December 12, 2016 release “Last Dance”, which was 1,807 days ago.
U-KISS debuted with the song “Not Young” on August 28, 2008 under NH Media. Originally consisting of six members, the group now has just three remaining: Hoon, Jun, and Soohyun, the last of which is the only member left from the original lineup. Their last comeback was 1,996 days ago on June 6, 2016 with the song “Stalker”.
MBLAQ debuted under J. Tune Camp on October 14, 2009 with the song “Oh Yeah”. The group currently consists of three of the original five members, and their last comeback was on June 8, 2015 with the song “Mirror”, which was 2,360 days ago.
UNIQ is a five member group that debuted on October 16, 2014 under Yuehua Entertainment with the song “Falling In Love”. While member WOODZ — a.k.a. Seungyeon — has been having an active solo career, the group as a whole hasn’t had a comeback since they released “Luv Again” 2,378 days ago on May 21, 2015.
MYNAME is a five member group that debuted with the song “Message” on October 27, 2011 under H2 Media. Though the company announced their disbandment in 2019, they later took it back after an interview with member Seyong that denied that they had broken up. Their last comeback, however, was on May 12, 2015 with the song “Just Tell Me”, which was 2,387 days ago.
JYJ debuted in April 2010 with the song “Ayyy Girl” after the three original members left TVXQ and SM Entertainment. Originally made up of three members, there are only two members remaining: Junsu and Jaejoong. Their last comeback was “Back Seat”, which was released 2,675 days ago on July 28, 2014.
ZE:A is a nine member group that debuted under Star Empire Entertainment on January 7, 2010 with the song “Mazeltov”. Though some members are now in different companies, they have announced that they never officially disbanded, and that they could release music together again someday. However, their last comeback was 2,728 days ago on June 5, 2014 with the song “Breathe”.
And finally, Supernova is a five member K-Pop group that originally debuted with six members on September 21, 2007 under SV Entertainment with the song “Hit”. Their last comeback was on August 8, 2012 with the song “She’s Gone”, which was 3,394 days ago.
