The names on this list will make you feel SO old.

With every passing generation on K-Pop, we get more and more amazing groups and soloists that are determined to make their mark in the industry! With each new year, however, our once favorite rookies become veterans in the industry, gaining seniority, experience, and more fans! Here are 15 K-Pop acts that are celebrating their 10th debut anniversary this 2022!

1. EXO

EXO made their debut on April 8, 2012, under SM Entertainment with the album MAMA and a title track of the same name. They initially started out as 12 members that were divided into 2 subunits, EXO-M and EXO-K, but owing to lineup changes throughout the years, are currently comprised of 9 members; Suho, Xiumin, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun.

A year after their debut in 2013, EXO released comeback songs “Wolf” and “Growl”, and shot through to mainstream success! Throughout their 10 year career, EXO has gained tremendous attention and praise for their vocals and performance skills, and also for their top-tier discography! The group has become a household name when it comes to top K-Pop groups, and have shown that 10 years later, they’re still going strong!

2. AOA

AOA debuted on August 9, 2012, as FNC Entertainment‘s first girl group. Currently consisting of 3 members; Hyejeong, Seolhyun, and Chanmi, they originally started out as 8 members (Jimin, Choa, Yuna, Mina, and Youkyung) with an “angel” concept. The members were introduced as “7- and-a-half angels”, with member Youkyung only joining their band subunit (AOA Black).

They released their first single album Angel’s Story and title song “Elvis” on July 30, and then made their official debut on M Countdown on August 9. Throughout their career, AOA has had tons of notable hits under their name, such as “Miniskirt”, “Like A Cat”, “Heart Attack”, “Good Luck” and many more! In 2019, they participated in the girl group comeback battle show Queendom, and gained tons of attention with their cover of MAMAMOO‘s “Egotistic”!

The group has been praised for being sexy concept queens, and has created a great legacy over the last 10 years!

3. EXID

EXID made their debut on February 16, 2012, under Banana Culture Entertainment (formerly AB Entertainment) with the single “Whoz That Girl”. The group was initially comprised of a different lineup with 6 members…

…but due to lineup changes, over the years, currently consists of members Solji, L.E., Hyelin, Hani, and Junghwa.

The group struggled to find success at first, but exploded in popularity with their 2014 song “Up&Down” after a fancam of Hani performing the song went viral! Since then, the group has had tons of successful hits, such as “Ah Yeah”, “L.I.E”, “DDD”, and more!

While currently on hiatus as the members focus on their individual activities, fans are waiting for them to comeback as a full group soon, and deliver their trademark quality bops again!

4. 15&

Female duo 15& made their debut on October 5, 2012 with the release of their debut single “I Dream”, under JYP Entertainment. The duo comprised Park Jimin (now known as Jamie), the winner of K-Pop Star Season 1, and Baek Yerin, a fellow trainee at JYPE and former participant on the show Amazing Contest Star King, and because of their previous public appearances, their debut was looked forward to with much hype and anticipation!

The group has a solid discography, such as “Somebody” and “Can’t Hide It”, and the two idols were powerhouses of vocal talents together! The duo unfortunately disbanded in 2019, when Jamie left JYP Entertainment after her contract ended, with Baek Yerin soon following suit. The two have their own stellar solo careers now, and fans are supporting them all the way!

5. BTOB

BTOB made their debut on March 21, 2012, under CUBE Entertainment, with the release of their debut album Born To Beat and double title tracks “Insane” and “Imagine”. They originally started out as 7 members, but with Ilhoon‘s departure from the group in December 2020, now consist of 6 members; Eunkwang, Minhyuk, Changsub, Hyunsik, Peniel, and Sungjae.

The group is known for their amazing vocal talents, particularly their ballad discography, and have lots of hit songs under their belt! Songs such as “Remember That”, “Way Back Home”, and “It’s Okay” are songs that brought them many fans, and these fans cannot wait for the whole group to make their much-awaited comeback together soon!

6. B.A.P

Boygroup B.A.P debuted on January 26, 2012, under TS Entertainment, with the single “Warrior”. The group consisted of 6 members; Yongguk, Himchan, Daehyun, Youngjae, Jongup, and Zelo, and as soon as they debuted, they received tons of attention for their powerful concept and hard-hitting music!

B.A.P has released a lot of hit songs throughout their career, such as “One Shot”, “Power”, and their debut track “Warrior”! The group, unfortunately, disbanded in 2019 when the remaining 4 members left TS Entertainment, following Yongguk and Zelo’s departure in 2018. Fans still fondly remember them for their music, and hope for a reunion someday!

7. Crayon Pop

Crayon Pop is a girl group that debuted on July 17, 2012, under Chrome Entertainment, with the single “Saturday Night”. Originally a 5 member group with members Geummi, Ellin, Choa, Way, and Soyul, following Soyul’s departure in 2017, are now a 4-member group.

Crayon Pop gained tons of attention and exploded in viral popularity with “Bar Bar Bar” in 2013, and everybody fell in love with their funky outfits and catchy tune of the song! The group went on to release other hit songs such as “Lonely Christmas”, “Uh-ee”, and more, and fans hope that after 10 years together, they’ll soon release a new song soon!

8. Girls’ Generation-TTS

Girls’ Generation-TTS is Girls’ Generation‘s first unit to be formed, and they debuted on April 29, 2012 with the mini-album Twinkle, and a title track of the same name. The unit is comprised of the vocalists of the group; Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun, and so, as a more vocal-focused group, have showcased their insane vocal power on all their top-tier songs!

9. Hello Venus

Hello Venus was a girl group that was formed as a joint venture between Tricell Media, Pledis Entertainment, and Fantagio Entertainment, and made their debut on May 9, 2012, with their debut mini-album Venus, and a title track of the same name. The group debuted with a lineup of 6 members; Alice, Nara, Yooara, Yoonjo, Lime, and Yooyoung.

In 2013, the joint venture between Pledis Entertainment and Fantagio was canceled, and so, the group began promoting as 4 members instead, as Yoonjung and Yooara returned to Pledis to focus on their solo careers. Soon, Seoyoung and Yeoreum were added to Hello Venus instead, and they promoted as a 6-member group again until their disbandment in 2019. Fans miss Hello Venus dearly, but are cheering on the members’ individual activities!

10. NU’EST

NU’EST made their debut on March 15, 2012, under Pledis Entertainment, with the single “Face”. The group consists of 5 members; JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun, and Ren.

The group first struggled to find mainstream success as a K-Pop group, but after their appearance on season 2 of Produce 101 in 2017 (and Minhyun’s subsequent debut in temporary group Wanna One), gained their due attention from fans with their talents in their comebacks after! The group has hit songs such as “Love Me”, “Bet Bet” and “Inside Out”, and in their 10th year together as a group, are still going strong!

11. Spica

Spica made their debut on February 7, 2012, under B2M Entertainment, with the mini-album Russian Roulette, and a title track of the same name. A 5-member group, the lineup consisted of Kim Boa, Park Sihyun, Park Narae, Yang Jiwon, and Kim Bohyung.

The group was noted for their incredible talent as vocalists, and although they had an amazing discography that included songs such as “Tonight” and “You Don’t Love Me”, they sadly disbanded in 2017 after 5 years together, and fans hope that they will get to see the members reunite again someday soon!

12. VIXX

VIXX made their debut on May 24, 2012, under Jellyfish Entertainment, with the song “Super Hero”. Originally a 6-member group with members N, Leo, Ken, Ravi, Hongbin, and Hyuk, Hongbin left the group in 2020, and the rest of the members regrouped to promote as 5.

The group is famous for their horror concept, with songs such as “Voodoo Doll”, “Eternity” and “Chained Up” taking top spots for horror-inspired songs! With their illustrious 10 year-long career, fans can’t wait to see the group together again someday!

13. JJ Project

JJ Project is a duo formed by JYP Entertainment, consisting of GOT7 members JayB and Jinyoung prior to their official debut with the rest of the group in 2014. The group debuted on May 20, 2012, with the single “Bounce”.

Following their debut in 2012, the two members of JJ Project starred in many shows and landed many endorsement deals, and in 2017, released a self-composed mini-album titled Verse, showing off how much the two have grown over their career!

JayB and Jinyoung are much-loved members of GOT7 as well, and a full group comeback (and a JJ Project one) is much-anticipated by Ahgases everywhere!

14. Ailee

Soloist Ailee made her debut on February 9, 2012, under YMC Entertainment, with the single “Heaven”, featuring Highlight‘s Gikwang (formerly of Beast). She instantly set herself apart with her incredible skills as a vocalist, and throughout the years, has showcased her powerful voice and wide vocal range with her amazing discography, which includes songs such as “U&I”, “Mind Your Own Business”, and “I Will Go To You Like The First Snow”.

15. Lee Hi

Lee Hi made her debut on October 28, 2012, under YG Entertainment, with the hugely successful debut single “1,2,3,4”. She initially gained attention as the runner-up of K-Pop Star Season 1, and her debut was anticipated by many fans of the show!
