What BLACKPINK Really Thinks About Their Possible Disbandment In The Future

Fans should hear this.

Much to the excitement of fans, the BLACKPINK members recently sat down for an interview with American Magazine Rolling Stone. A common question asked to the members in their individual interviews was about life after BLACKPINK.

Have you ever imagined your future without BLACKPINK?

Unfortunately, Jisoo was not asked the question in her feature.

The idea that the members will one day part for good is not something that fans want to think about, and it seems they feel the same! Without further ado, check out the answers of Rosé, Jennie, and Lisa below.

1. Rosé

First, Rosé staunchly stated that the group is “forever.” She can’t imagine it ever ending because it is a part of her, not to mention she grew up with the members. However, she admitted that she fears losing it because of how dear it is to her heart.

I think about it. But I don’t think it will be over. BLACKPINK is family forever. I grew up with them. They’re a part of me. I don’t think it’ll ever end. It’s dumb of me to ever worry about that or think about it.

But you know, when something is so good and you love it so much, you always think of that side, because you don’t want to lose it.

2. Jennie

Similarly, Jennie also expressed her belief that BLACKPINK will never end. She envisioned herself as a 70-year-old woman who still identifies as a member. In her opinion, BLACKPINK isn’t just music makers—they’re a family. And that means they can never truly be apart from each other even if they’re all busy.

I don’t think BLACKPINK will ever end in my heart, as corny as that sounds. Regardless of what I do, I will always be BLACKPINK. Even if we’re 70 and we have different lives, I’ll still feel like I’m BLACKPINK. I’m committed. BLACKPINK, to me, is more than whether we do music or not. It’s a part of my family. You can’t deny your family. There are ups and downs: You’re all busy, you see them a lot, then you don’t—you’re still family.

3. Lisa

Last but not the least, Lisa confessed that she hasn’t ever stopped to think about their disbandment because “It’s too sad.” She can see each member living in different countries, but she hopes to have a reunion one day. Ultimately, she predicts that BLACKPINK will be together for, at the very least, 10 more years.

I don’t think we’ve even talked about this amongst ourselves. We’ve jokingly said, ‘Jisoo unni is going to live in Hawaii. Lisa will return to Thailand,’ but I don’t want to think about the end. It’s too sad. Someday we’ll get married and things like that. But then I see the Spice Girls, how they got together for a reunion concert. Can we do that too someday? Will I be able to dance then, like I do now? I mean, won’t BLACKPINK last at least 10 more years? We’ll be nearly 40 by then.
