The actor appeared in the August 8 episode of tvN’s Lined Up Restaurants. Lined Up Restaurants is a show that features the hottest restaurants that customers line up to eat at. During the episode, the actor caused a hot debate online for his “rude” actions.

First, the actor complained about waiting in line at the restaurant, which is one of the main focal points of the show.

Do they have to film us waiting in line to get into the restaurant? I can’t wait in line. I’m not the type to go looking for the trendiest restaurants. I never wait in line, so let’s go somewhere else.

Once in, the actor was shown grilling meat. Once the meat was ready, he placed a few pieces of meat on the plates of the show’s hosts, Park Na Rae and Haetnim, before proceeding to eat the meat right off the grill.

The actor, who was shown sweating profusely, then shook off his sweat right at the table.

Many netizens reacted negatively to the actor’s appearance, lamenting the actor’s lack of manners.

  • “Even after watching the episode, I feel he was very rude. It seems like he doesn’t even have basic manners.”
  • “After watching it, I am no longer his fan.”
  • “Wow…”
  • “I watched the episode, and I am even more disappointed. I’m not sure who he is, but I don’t want to watch him anymore.”

On August 10, the actor’s agency, Stallion Entertainment, released a statement through news outlet X-Sports News. The agency stated that the actor, in trying to bring entertainment to the episode, overexaggerated and has since apologized.

In trying to be funny, Sung Hoon acted overzealously. If the actor’s actions offended you, we apologize. We will be more careful moving forward.
