ATEEZ’s Wooyoung Fiercely Protects Seonghwa From Mean Comments

No one protects their members like Wooyoung.

The members of ATEEZ are clearly very close with each other, treating their relationship like a close-knit family who support and encourage one another.

When any of the members are having a hard time, the others are quick to step in and help, whether it’s something small and easily fixable or something more difficult and complex.

And while it’s common for the older members to be the ones looking after the younger ones, in ATEEZ, taking care of each other goes both ways, and Wooyoung recently showed just that.

While talking with ATINYs on the app Universe, Wooyoung got onto a serious topic with fans that has people applauding his fierce defense of Seonghwa.

There had apparently been some mean comments sent through the app to ATEEZ’s oldest member. Of course, anyone would be hurt by cruel words, especially on a platform that is supposed to be for supporting K-Pop idols, and Wooyoung had some words to say to those who were sending the hurtful comments.

Oh and by the way, everyone.

I’m going to say this one last time.

I know a lot of people aren’t like this and I know it’s probably better for my mental health not to engage.

But please be nice in your PMs.

We’re only human… so we end up seeing the negative messages more than the positive ones.

No, this isn’t about me… Someone got nasty with my hyung.

Don’t mess with my hyung, I will come after you.

No, Seonghwa hyung.

Seriously. I’ll bite you like a dog.

Woof.

As Wooyoung said, idols are human too, and are just as capable of being hurt by harsh comments as anyone else, and it’s frustrating to know that they have to deal with such things where they should only be getting support.

Fans have taken to social media to show their support for the ATEEZ member’s protection of Seonghwa.

It’s so heartwarming to know that ATEEZ has someone like Wooyoung who isn’t afraid to speak out against people who might seek to hurt them, and hopefully these kinds of mean comments will become a thing of the past!
