Gamers, BLACKPINK is now officially in your BUPG area!

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (aka PUBG) is an action-filled multiplayer game that can be played on computers or mobile. Last week, PUBG Mobile began hinting about a collaboration with BLACKPINK with the news later confirmed a few days later. Now, the collab is officially kicking off with a bang!

Starting on September 24, BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” is going live as the lobby background music in the game. After October 2, the background music will be changing to the group’s new title track from their first full-length album THE ALBUM. The lobby is an area all gamers pass through, which means every player will hear BLACKPINK’s song! Furthermore, this is the first time a K-Pop artist’s song is being used in the game.

That, however, isn’t the only exciting news. Several special events have been planned for fans. Beginning at 3 PM KST on September 24 through October 8, gamers can watch a special video BLACKPINK made to celebrate the collab through an event page within the game.

Fans can also visit the member’s personal spaces, send them gifts as support, and acquire various special items such as albums, special box vouchers, outfits, and more.

Talking about the collab, YG Entertainment and PUBG Corporation stated, “With the release of BLACKPINK’s full-length album ‘THE ALBUM’, various collaboration content and events will be additionally revealed.”

BLACKPINK, meanwhile, will be releasing their highly-anticipated full-length album THE ALBUM on October 2.
