BTS’s “Butter” Tops Billboard’s “Best Performance” Ranking For The 2022 GRAMMYs

They ranked #1 out of 16 acts.

BTS took their smash-hit “Butter” to the next level at the 2022 GRAMMYs!

Last year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, BTS performed “Dynamite” virtually for the GRAMMYs. Even so, the supergroup pulled out all the stops; they recreated the GRAMMYs‘ set and danced on the rooftop of a skyscraper in Seoul.

Given how extravagant “Dynamite” was, fans couldn’t wait to see what BTS had in store for their first-ever solo performance on the GRAMMYs’ stage. As expected, BTS went above and beyond expectations by turning “Butter” into an onstage heist!

“Butter” had the audience up and dancing along, and when it ended BTS received a standing ovation.

Sadly, BTS did not win the award for “Best Duo/Group Performance,” but they did win plenty of admiration and bragging rights.

Billboard has named “Butter” the best performance of the night, ranking it #1 out of sixteen acts. In particular, Billboard praised BTS’s “007-inspired” storyline, choreography, and a flirty moment with Olivia Rodrigo.

Smooth like butter, indeed. The Grammy-nominated septet took their “criminal undercover” lyrics to a whole new level with their 007-inspired performance of their Billboard Hot 100-topping track. Jin, Jimin, V, RM, J-Hope, Suga and Jungkook dodged neon-blue lasers during a sleek choreography sequence and transformed the whole Grammys stage into a secret agent headquarters, proving that their creativity is equally as impressive as their musical talent.

Also that flirty moment with between V and Olivia Rodrigo? Let’s hope he whispered a proposal for a future duet in her ear.
