BTS’s “Map Of The Soul: 7” Album Sells 3.42M In Pre-Orders

Congrats to BTS!

BTS has broken the record for pre-orders for their new album, Map of the Soul: 7. This is the highest number of pre-orders that BTS has hit ever according to Big Hit Entertainment.

Dreamus Company revealed that BTS broke their own record from their previous album, Map of the Soul: PERSONA, which sold 2.68M in pre-orders last year.

Pre-orders for this album is gaining attention not only in Korea but worldwide as it also hit number one on the Amazon CD & Vinyl Best Sellers chart for the eighth day in a row.

The hashtag #선주문342만 (Pre-order 3.42M) began trending in Korea after news of this released.

Fans are shook at the number considering the actual music hasn’t even been released yet (besides ‘Interlude: Shadow Comeback Trailer’).

“3.42M this is crazy. I wonder what other records they will make after the Chinese New Year.”

“3.42M in pre-orders? I know I say this every time they make a comeback but how is this even possible? There’s still a lot of time left before the pre-order time ends! I can’t wait for their new song to be released tomorrow!”

“3.42M is this even possible? I’m so happy but at the same time I’m worried now that I probably won’t be able to get a ticket to their concert.”

“3.42M in pre-orders… the current BTS wins the past BTS.”

“3.42M in pre-orders…I was shocked with 2.7M from the Persona album…Only BTS can break these kinds of records….I’m so proud of our boys this morning!”

“3.42M? Is this real life? ARMYs you guys are amazing! This is the biggest record of all time!”

This studio album will officially release on February 21 with the official music video dropping on February 28.
