A never before seen MC line-up for the upcoming Golden Disk Awards (GDA) has been announced. Super Junior‘s Lee Teuk, Girls’ Generation‘s Tiffany, miss A‘s Fei, as well as entertainers Kim Sung Joo, and Jeon Hyun Moo are confirmed to host the 29th Golden Disk Awards, taking place in Beijing, on January 14th and 15th, 2015.
Top idol groups’ members and renowned entertainers are expected to give a smooth and fun flow for the show. On January 14th, Kim Sung Joo, Fei, and another surprise guest is to host the show. For the following day, Jeon Hyun Moo, Lee Teak, and Tiffany are in charge of hosting.
The selected hosts are currently popular and rising stars recognized for their swift MCing skills. Kim Sung Joo is currently the host for various variety shows for MBC and JTBC. In particular, the show Dad! Where Are We Going? is favorably received in China, which led to his selection for GDA. Likewise, Jeon Hyun Moo, the most successful freelance announcer in Korea, has garnered more attention recently through hosting JTBC’s Hidden Singer. His professionalism and humor as an MC earned his MC spot not only for a Chinese program, but also for the upcoming GDA.
Since GDA is a music awards show, it did not forget to include singers in the line-up. Lee Teuk has already proven his talent in the field even before enlisting in the military a few years ago. He has been named to be one of the MCs of the next generation after Yoo Jae Suk and Kang Ho Dong.
Last but not least, the girl group members, Fei and Tiffany, have been chosen to host the upcoming GDA as well. Miss A’s Fei has garnered hot attention in China due to her appearance on a variety show. Along with Fei, Tiffany has been selected for her four years of hosting experience on a music show. Also, Tiffany’s fluency in English is another convenience for global viewers.
Meanwhile, the nominees for the 29th Golden Disk Awards has officially been announced online, on December 8th. Don’t forget to participate to vote for GDA’s fan’s choice/popularity awards starting December 10th.
