According to an exclusive report from Star News, Key East and Ji Soo recently decided to terminate their contract with each other and go their separate ways. This move comes just seven months after it was announced Ji Soo joined KeyEast, back in October 2020.

While the official reason for the contract termination was not revealed, it is rumored that the catalyst for the contract termination was Ji Soo’s school violence and bullying allegations that were raised back in March 2021. Since then, both sides were in contact with each other over how to proceed, and the final decision was to terminate their contract.

Following the accusations made against him, Ji Soo was dropped from his KBS K-Drama River Where The Moon Rises and apologized for his past actions. He was also accused of sexual assault, but KeyEast firmly denied those accusations. River Where The Moon Rises‘ production company sued KeyEast and Ji Soo for ₩3.00 billion KRW (about $2.69 million USD) in damages, and it was later reported that KeyEast is refusing to pay for the damages caused.
