Lee Se Young leaves SNL Korea After Sexual Assault Controversy

Lee Se Young will be leaving SNL Korea after a video showing B1A4, INFINITE and Block B being sexually assaulted on the show.

Outrage from fans and media over the treatment of idols on SNL Korea has forced Lee Se Young to resign from SNL Korea. In the video, all three idol groups are seen being molested and sexually assaulted by Lee Se Young and other female staff.

In one video, Lee Se Young can be clearly heard saying, “I touched them all!” and fist pumping after grabbing their genitals.

CJ E&M, the broadcasting company behind SNL Korea, “Lee Se Young is currently in the process of departing ‘SNL Korea 8’. Also before she leaves the show she plans to apologize in the next episode about the actions that have caused such controversy. She is currently thinking about the best way to apologize but she will not attempt to mask the apology in humor.”

Soon after the reports of her leaving were released, however, the Chief Producer of the show, Ahn Sang Hwee stated that “The talk of Lee Se Youg leaving SNL 8 is completely untrue. Such a thing has not been discussed, I didn’t even know any talk of her stepping down from the show was going around. The reports on her leaving are wrong.”

Lee Se Young’s agency FNC Entertainment also stated, “We have not heard anything about her leaving the show”
