MOMOLAND‘s agency, MLD Entertainment, will be undergoing a huge M&A (merger and acquisition) with two other entertainment agencies, BM Entertainment, R&D Company, and Double H Entertainment.
On April 23, 2021, MLD Entertainment announced the merger news. They will be taking over the management for the respective three companies in order to become a leader in the creative industry.
BM Entertainment is home to singers Kim Hyun Chul, Yurisangja, Lee Ki Chan, and more, and is led by CEO Kim Pyung Hee. R&D Company is let by CEO Choi Seung Yong and takes charge of singers such as Snuper, Navi, Chun Myung Hoon and more. Lastly, Double H Entertainment is helmed by Lee Hoon Seok, a former director at Woollim Entertainment. They currently manage SG Wannabe, Kim Yong Jun and rookie actor Lee Sang Jun.
Meanwhile, MLD Entertainment has hired new management to help them further their businesses. Director Shim Hwa Seok who has been in charge of artists such as U-KISS, Lim Chang Jung, LABOUM, and Yangpa, will be joining the team. They have also recruited Ryu Jae Hyun, who was a former director at Star Empire, and has experience handling Jewelry, VOS, ZE:A, Nine Muses and more.
On the other hand, MLD Entertainment has also joined hands with IT company, NHN, in order to further develop platforms to expand businesses in media and concerts.
