It’s very important to him.

MONSTA X recently held their 2022 No Limit Tour shows in Seoul from September 2 to September 4.

The Seoul concerts were arguably even sexier than the North American tour. Joohoney shocked MONBEBEs by removing his clothes…

At the end of his solo stages, Joohoney ripped off his top aggressively, giving MONBEBEs a quick glimpse of his well-earned hard work at the gym, as well as his first tattoo!

MONBEBEs weren’t sure at first if the tattoo was real or not. Now, Joohoney has confirmed it!

In private messages via the UNIVERSE app, Joohoney reflected on the concerts. Knowing MONBEBEs, he talked about his removal of clothes, revealing the tattoo.

We’ve got so much to talk, right? Firstly the concert!!! How was it!!! As expected, all you talk about is ripping clothes kkk and Tattoo as well

First about Tattoo!

A few MONBEBEs had wondered if Joohoney had gotten the tattoo to cover up a scar like fellow MONSTA X member Minhyuk got a whale tattoo on his leg to cover up a scar.

As suspected, Joohoney confirmed that the tattoo was a method to cover up the scar on his stomach. He had wanted to remove it for years but couldn’t find a solution to it.

I’ve got this red line on middle of my belly, it was so clear and big..so I went to dermatologist and so on..I really wanted to remove it so I’ve tried many things but couldn’t get rid of it… I’ve been considering about covering it up for years seriously.

Joohoney revealed that people had tried to stop him from getting the tattoo. Ultimately, he chose to do it regardless, seeing as it’s his own body.

cuz it is on my body..I’ve been worring about it and asked about it.. and there were people who stopped me. but in the end, it’s what I want and my choice.. thought, if I’m not going to regret doing it then it’s right to do it.

He talked a little about his experience getting the tattoo. Although he thought it would hurt, he felt fine.

I thought it would hurt but it was OK then I thought lol The tattooist said I’m the one of most patient persons he’s ever seen.

When MONBEBEs were trying to figure out what his tattoo was when he debuted it at the concert, the most common guess was that it was an eagle.

Joohoney denied this. So, he revealed a close-up shot of his tattoo while explaining that it’s actually a cross tattoo with wings coming out from it.

BTW it’s not an eagle
You want to see my belly.. kkkk lol ? It is the cross with wings shape kkkk

Joohoney is a Christian and even danced in church. So, naturally, his tattoo is meaningful to him as the cross is a significant symbol of hope, forgiveness, and love.

Joohoney’s tattoo not only helped him overcome an insecurity but also can be symbolic of something greater.
