“Parasite” Is Reportedly in Talks With HBO for a New TV Drama Series

Bong Joon Ho’s award-winning film, “Parasite” is coming to the small screen!

According to various media outlets including Hollywood Reporter and Deadline, Bong Joon Ho‘s award-winning film, Parasite is in talks with the American cable channel, HBO for a new TV drama series.

 

The reports revealed that the collaboration is currently in talks following a fierce battle against Netflix.

After a fierce battle against Netflix, HBO is currently negotiating for a TV series. But it’s still uncertain whether the TV series will be a follow-up of the Korean film or an English remake.

It has also been reported that director Bong Joon Ho, as well as Adam McKay of films such as The Big Short and Vice, will be producing the TV series.

They’re still working out the details, but the series will be produced by Bong Joon Ho and Adam McKay of films such as ‘The Big Short’ and ‘Vice’. In addition, CJ Entertainment, Hyperobject Industries, and Kate Street Picture Company will be participating in production.
