Even though PSY is the senior artist, it seems like the idol couldn’t stop gushing about working with Suga from the moment the announcement was made.

In a video released before the song, PSY explained that the song almost seems destined to succeed because “It’s made in a jiff,” which means a short amount of time. Suga and PSY also revealed that the writing process was effortless because of their close friendship.

PSY even joked that he’d tricked Suga when agreeing to the collaboration which meant that rather than just producing the track, the BTS member gained an even bigger role in the track.

Well, it seems as if the release of the track and recent interviews with PSY has showcased just how much it meant to him to work with Suga.

During the showcase to celebrate the release of PSY’s latest album, the veteran idol discussed how the collaboration with Suga actually happened, and it was all down to the BTS member. According to PSY, Suga approached him and explained that he had the perfect track.

Suga contacted us, saying that he wanted to produce me. There was no reason for me to decline.

In particular, during another interview with Melon, PSY revealed his reaction when everything was confirmed with Suga. Not only does it show how much PSY appreciates all idols but it showcases Suga’s influence and how much people want to work with him.

I was so excited after Suga’s collaboration was confirmed that I couldn’t sleep for a couple of days. I felt like I had saved a country in my past life.

If that wasn’t enough, despite being a veteran idol, PSY explained that while he was working with Suga, he saw parts of himself when he was younger. With this, he was also able to draw on that to feel that same sense of being carefree.

Watching Suga, I realized I also used to be like that, really passionate and just having fun, bold without hesitation. I was able to rid myself of the worries I’ve gained from my long career.
