Seungri’s legal representative shared a short statement with Maeil Business Star Today, revealing that “there are plans to appeal.” The former idol’s appeal doesn’t come as a surprise, according to Maeil Business Star Today. During the trial, which lasted for over 10 months, Seungri continuously denied the allegations that were made against him. According to the news reports, the former idol’s constant denials were a clear indication that he never had any intention of accepting the judge’s sentencing.

While the appeal has not yet been filed, Seungri and his legal team will have up to 10 days from his sentencing date to submit a formal appeal.
