Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo’s Newlywed House Will Be Demolished

Their newlywed house will be gone, forever.

Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo‘s newlywed house that they lived in during their marriage is reportedly getting demolished.

According to a report from SBS FunE via Hong Kong media outlet South China Morning Post (SCMP), Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo’s house that Song Joong Ki purchased for ₩10 billion KRW ($8,087,022 USD) is going to be demolished. The process began last month.

After the demolition and reconstruction, the new house built on the property will contain a total of 5 floors, 3 above ground and 2 below ground. It is scheduled to complete construction in June 2021. According to SCMP, the permit for the demolition and construction of a new house was approved earlier, but construction only began recently. The delay was likely due to the division of assets between Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo not yet being finalized.

Regarding the report, Song Joong Ki’s agency, History D&C, relayed their official statement.

As it is Song Joong Ki’s private life, we can not confirm anything.
