Super Junior’s Heechul Reveals How Much He Makes On Youtube

The hosts were shocked.

Super Junior‘s Heechul has revealed how much Youtubers including himself make on an episode of the new variety program, Six Party Talks (6자회담).

Heechul confessed that in the first month after he opened his Youtube channel, he earned 15,000 KRW ($13.37 USD). He added that he has more subscribers now but emphasized that the creators must have a clear vision.

When I first opened (my account), I earned about 15,000 KRW in a month. I have about 60,000-70,000 subscribers now but you have to be very clear. Popular creators even make millions of won.

Heechul then explained that popular Korean Youtubers make tens of thousands of dollars a month with some even having their own creative team and listed some of the top Korean Youtubers who have the highest annual advertisement earnings:

The popular Youtuber who goes by the name “buzzbean11” made approximately 930 million KRW ($828,671 USD) on advertisements alone.

 

“Heopop”, who creates scientific and experimental contents, earns a whopping 1.23 billion KRW ($1,095,985 USD) on monthly advertisement fees.

 

“Dotty”, who creates creative contents for elementary students, made approximately 1.59 billion KRW ($1,416,761 USD).

 

The Korean Youtuber with the highest annual advertisement earnings was “PomPom Toys”, a channel that creates videos related to “liquid monster” toys, with advertisement earnings of 3.16 billion KRW ($2,815,702 USD).
