“Tale Of The Nine Tailed” Starring Lee Dong Wook Releases Character Relationship Charts And A New Trailer

A half-human, half-gumiho served by a departmental store director? We’re intrigued.

Tale of the Nine Tailed, starring Lee Dong Wook and Jo Bo Ah, tells the tail of a legendary gumiho that comes to live in the city.

Lee Dong Wook plays the gumiho, Lee Yeon, a fox spirit, who moves down from the Baekdusan Mountains to get a taste of city life. Jo Bo Ah plays a spunky documentary producer, Nam Ji Ah,  that seeks to expose gumihos living in the city amongst humans. Kim Bum also makes a stellar comeback, playing the gumiho’s brother, Lee Rang. He is half-gumiho, half-human.

According to a character relationship chart that was revealed recently, Nam Ji Ah will be hunting down our gumiho, Lee Yeon. As gumihos are also known to take in servants to help them get along their city lives, Lee Yeon’s servant is Goo Shin Ju, a veterinarian. Pretty handy, if you ask me.

Lee Rang will be served by Gi Yu Ri, who’s a director at a huge departmental store. She is also known as a Russian fox spirit. Other minor characters include Bok Hye Ja, a snail bride business boss, Baek Si Woo, a detective, Pyo Jae Hwan, a PD assistant, two gatekeepers of the river styx, and Nam Ji Ah’s parents.

Take a look at the latest trailer below.

Tale of the Nine Tailed is set to make its first broadcast on 7 October 2020 and will air every Wednesday and Thursday. It will be available on tvN and Netflix.
