TS Entertainment Will Take Legal Action Against SECRET Members Who Choose To Do Promotions Without Their Consent

Song Jieun revealed that she’s left TS Entertainment, but the label has a different story and will be taking legal actions against SECRET.

TS Entertainment released an official statement regarding their intention to take legal action against the SECRET members who left the company.

“If these promotions continue without our consent, we will take strict and active measures in response. In regard to termination of the contract as claimed by a certain member, we clarify that this is not an official verdict by the Judiciary.”ㅡ TS Entertainment

According to TS Entertainment, the agency lost contact with some of the SECRET members during the period of their exclusive contract and recently heard news of Song Jieun‘s withdrawal from the group and contract termination through the her personal Instagram account.

The other SECRET members claim that they were also unaware of this member’s plans to leave the group.

The company’s official statement clearly stated their intentions.

“This is TS Entertainment.

First of all, we would like to apologize to everyone who has shown their love and attention to Secret for having to deliver this unfortunate news. This is our official statement.

The secret members have expressed their wish to accompany their group promotions with solo activities. Our agency responded to this request with active support, but eventually lost contact with some of the members while they were still under an exclusive contract with us. We requested the member to faithfully execute the agreement in regard to promotions as a member of SECRET and solo activities. Then on the 28th, we heard the news of a member’s withdrawal from the group and termination of contract through her personal SNS account.

We asked other SECRET members as to whether a prior discussion was made to confirm this fact, but even the members were not aware of the news of withdrawal and were quite shocked about the fact.

If the Secret members reveal their intentions for group promotions based on the mutual agreement of our exclusive contract, we will continue to do our best as we have done so far. If they wish to do other promotions including album promotions, we are always ready to support them.

However, if these promotions continue without our consent, we will take strict and active measures in response. In regard to termination of the contract as claimed by a certain member, we clarify that this is not an official verdict by the Judiciary.

Once again, we bow our heads in apology to those who have been supporting our agency and our artists for having to deliver this unfortunate matter.”
