BLACKPINK’s Rosé Touches On The Possibility Of Future Solo Promotions And How “R” Is Just The Start For Her

Here’s what she had to say.

BLACKPINK‘s Rosé made a splash of a debut with her solo album R. She waited years to release her dual tracks “On The Ground” and “Gone.” Her promotions included interviews, music show performances, Western talk show appearances, and more.

Fans were spoiled with her numerous activities throughout the promotional period! Luckily for them, Rosé doesn’t seem to plan on being away for too long. In an interview with the Zach Sang Show, she answered the host’s question, “Is R a continuing story? Will you add to this project as time goes on or is it finished with these two songs?”

She replied that though nothing is set in stone, she hopes to continue the story of her album in the future: “Oh that’s something I’m gonna have to see in the future.”

Those who worked on the album including herself made sure to write R as a narrative that can be referenced in the future. Her next solo promotions will likely be based on the messages of “On The Ground” and “Gone.”

But I did actually try to start it on a note where it’s a representation of the first alphabet in the name that a lot of people call me by, just Rosie, Roseanne, Rosé. It’s supposed to be the start of it, the first alphabet.

Instead of the end of her solo promotions, she considered R the beginning of a journey. Rosé made sure to clarify that her next albums may not be named after the rest of the letters in her name, but she does plan on releasing more music.

It doesn’t necessarily mean I’m going to have ‘-osé.’ But it does represent that.

In the end, fans may just have to wait for more! Rosé teased, “We’ll have to see what the future holds.”
