Korea’s Top 3 Most Popular Variety Shows You Should Be Watching

A recent study has found Korea’s biggest and best variety programs based on their brand reputation, and here the top three.

Between December 6th, 2016 and January 7th, 2017, the brands of Korea’s biggest entertainment programs were studied. The study looked at several areas and judged which shows had the best reputation among viewers. The shows with the best reputation are:

1. Infinite Challenge

Dubbed “The Nation’s Variety Show”, Infinite Challenge has been one of Korea’s biggest variety shows since it started in 2005 and is hosted by the hugely popular Yoo Jae Suk. The show doesn’t have a direct focus but instead revolves mainly around putting its hilarious cast into as many absurd challenges as possible, including live music performances or being forced into the most extreme part-time jobs the crew can find. It was revealed to have the strongest brand in the world of variety shows and it’s not surprising considering it has been one of the country’s most beloved for over 10 years.

2. Radio Star

Radio Star is a talk show that began in 2007 and is currently hosted by Super Junior member Kyuhyun.

The show is full of fun interviews with singers and actors and is extremely popular with fans and idols alike. The show has so many guests that it’s hard to find anyone who hasn’t appeared on the show at some point. The show is the 2nd strongest entertainment brand in Korea no doubt from its ability to show the genuine personalities of their guests.
