“Running Man” Cast Playfully Debates Kim Jong Kook’s Love Life

Poor Kim Jong Kook can’t catch a break.

On the most recent episode of SBS‘s Running Man, the cast was in a heated debate on whether Kim Jong Kook would get married within the next three years or not.

Each member of the cast was randomly assigned to one side of a debate. Then, after the debate, the production staff voted on which team made a more convincing case. Since the question was about him, the staff gave Kim Jong Kook the option to choose which side he wanted to be on. He decided to be placed randomly, however, after saying, “I don’t know either.

Kim Jong Kook, Yoo Jae SukLee Kwang Soo, and Jun So Min were on the team arguing that Kim Jong Kook would get married within three years. HaHaJi Suk JinSong Ji Hyo, and Yang Se Chan were on the team arguing that he wouldn’t.

Staying with his team’s idea, Kim Jong Kook declared, “I’m going to [get married]. I should.” To which Yoo Jae Suk attempted to immediately end the debate by saying, “The question is whether Jong Kook will get married. What can anyone else say about the matter?

What followed was a very intense, back-and-forth debate.

Ji Suk Jin: “To be precise, it’s not that Jong Kook is getting married, but that he plans to get married.”

Yang Se Chan: “You can’t get married on your own.”

Ji Suk Jin: “You need a woman to get married, but from what I know, Jong Kook’s daily routine doesn’t include any opportunities to meet women.”

Yoo Jae Suk: “But there are good women in Jong Kook’s vicinity. It’s just that Jong Kook holds himself back on taking those relationships to the next level.”

Kim Jong Kook: “I just haven’t made up my mind yet. But I need to get married within three years.”

Song Ji Hyo then shared her knowledge on the fact that she knows Jong Kook’s relationships to be quite long-lasting. He is the type of person that needs a long time to date someone. So, she argues that three years would not be enough time.

Kim Jong Kook agreed but also stated that it was difficult to marry people if you’ve dated for a long time.

What I learned is that you need to get married within two or three months.

Yoo Jae Suk pushed Jun So Min to offer her ideas, in which she honestly confessed, “I shouldn’t think like this, but listening to this conversation, I think he might not be able to [get married].

Before she could finish, Kim Jong Kook hilariously cut her off by covering her mouth with his hand and Yoo Jae Suk jokingly kicked her off the team.

Once the debate was over, the team that had argued against Kim Jong Kook’s marriage confessed that they only made that argument because of their assignment.

Honestly, I think he will get married within three years. Next year, even.
