The positive outweighs the negative, so here’s what they had to say.

Although they make it look effortless, the life of an idol is far from easy.

Out of all the members, TWICE‘s Jihyo and Mina are two who have come out about the health and mental issues that have been magnified by their lives being put on display.

Even so, the happy moments they’ve shared with their members and fans have made it all worth it. That’s why they didn’t hesitate to speak up about what aspiring idols should keeping in mind when pursuing their dream during an interview with Interview Magazine.

As the leader, Jihyo took a serious approach to giving advice. She acknowledged that working towards being an idol isn’t something to take lightly.

It takes a lot of effort that can feel overwhelming at times, “I am very aware that chasing your dreams can be hard, but even though it may be tough…”

Despite that, she emphasized that it should keep them from pursuing their ultimate dream. In those low moments, always remind yourself of what you’re working to achieve. If you’re exceptionally talented in an area, nurture it, “…please don’t lose sight of what you want and continue to do your best at that.”

Since life is unpredictable and the chance to work towards being an idol can appear at any time, Mina noted that they should be ready to take that step and go full-steam ahead. “You don’t know when the opportunity will come to you, but it is important to prepare yourself and go for it.”

In essence, if your dream is being an idol, Mina and Jihyo don’t want you to be torn down by those difficult times. Sharpen your strengths and push forward to achieve it, no matter what obstacles are in your way.
